Northrop Grumman’s Enterprise Services organization in Linthicum, MD is seeking a qualified Cyber System Administrator to perform key assignments for Mission Systems software development lab environments. This position supports large heterogeneous unclassified computer networks that includes Linux, Windows and VMware Virtualization with emphasis on supporting software development teams.

Responsibilities include cyber system security compliance and support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, as well as the management of IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. This position provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring. Duties will also include maintaining system documentation, developing infrastructure support procedures, and providing security support.


Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelors in Science degree, or other related discipline and 2 years of IT professional experience. 0 years of relevant experience required with a Masters degree. (Appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
•Proven experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems administration.
•Educational background in cyber security

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience with VMware Virtualization products: vSphere, vCenter Server, Horizon View, vRealize
•Familiarity with system automation by using scripting languages like PowerShell, PowerCLI, Ansible, Python, JavaScript.
•Experience with vulnerability scanning tools like Tenable’s Security Center.
•Experience maintaining Information Systems Security Plan (ISSP).
•Experience performing vulnerability remediation and tracking in frameworks such as DFARS, RMF or DIACAP
•Basic understanding of IPSEC & SSL encryption technologies used in securing critical services
•Active CompTIA Security+ certification
•Superior written and oral communication skills
•Ability to work flex and overtime hours with some weekend hours expected.
•Experience with Agile Scrum Methodology
